Hello everyone! I’ve made a few posts around here already but I’ve never formally introduced myself, so hi! Haha. I’m Libby, but prefer to go by LJ. I’m 19 years old, and have had Petz 5 since I was 3! It was my very first game for the PC. Sooo many good memories. I’ve got such a keen interest in video games and computers and always have from the moment I could understand how to use them. My father tells me stories of how he used to lay me on his chest as soon as I could hold my head up, and mess around creating patterns and doodles on MS paint with me. Apparently I loved it. Which makes sense, since I’m super into digital art now and have been creating digital art since I was 5, but really only got properly into it when I got a drawing tablet at 11 years old.
I’ve also always loved horses, and used to go horse riding with my mother’s friend every week from ages 6 to 8. I mainly rode a big white mare, unfortunately I don’t remember the breed but she was nicknamed ‘Lazy Lacey’ as she never really got to speeds faster than a trot. Bless her, she was getting old and clearly wanted to retire! So she did, when I was 8, but then a traumatic event involving the new riding stallion, Turnip, happened and I refused to go back ever again. (I regret that, now.)
I live in a small suburban ‘village’ if you will, and my family never made enough money to get me my own horse despite my many years of begging. So when I stumbled upon this site back in 2016 I was super intrigued, but didn’t have the guts to sign up as it all looked so confusing and complex. I also suffer from social anxiety, so interacting with people has never been my strong point. I put it off and off until I eventually stopped playing Petz 5 and only a few days ago have I started back up again, as I found it in my attic!
Now that I’m older, joining the site wasn’t nearly as intimidating, and with lovely members like Jewellz welcoming me with open arms and tolerating my many questions as well as going out their way to hex me a starting horse for free, I’ve never felt more comfortable! This is such a pleasant little community that I can’t wait to get even more involved with. Thanks for reading guys, and here’s to the many memories to come!
