So when Angora sent me the v2 files I was sooo happy, and "delighted" is not a word that is usually in my vocabulary but that's exactly how I felt, so I told her my first horse I hexed was gonna be named "Delight." I thought it was a good name for a mare/filly, but as I was hexing this guy I realized it works for him and he's so much better as a stallion.
Anyway, lots of frustration later...Here's Delight, hexed on Rafa's eventing Westfalen (this suits stallions so well) featuring a cremello texture made by me and Cel's jannet64 mane/tail texture found here...
Finally got him to jump the right way, he really likes to go the wrong way lol.
The frustration was mostly because I made the coat texture and I spent hours painting pixels and re-doing it because I wanted it to look just right. I'm still not happy with this, but it's as good as it gets haha. I don't think it could get any better without looking untextured, or being too dark or too light or too pixely etc. I kept having to open the game and pull one out to see how it looks because the textures don't look the same in the game as they do out of it, and I swear almost every test horse had sleepy sickness so I couldn't even flip them around easy to see different angles. Also, I wanted to change the outlines but, all of the outlines are actually lines but I didn't know that so...Changed color outline overrides...nope...okay, hm change ball and addball outlines?..nope...finally realized they're lines, argh! Once I'm done with school for the summer I'll mess around with paintballs, oh joy! Just doing that dual-colored blaze took forever.
Also, I had no idea what I was gonna hex at first but I just started playing around with textures and when I pulled out a horse with that particular mane/tail texture I instantly knew I was doing a cremello. So this whole guy is props to Celestia for her amazing free textures!
P.S. If you guys like this coat texture then I might do a perlino mare/filly for auction. It'd be similar to this guy but maybe on the newest Westfalen mod, or a diff base? Also I wouldn't be able to use the same mane/tail texture cuz perlinos' manes/tails are darker.
