Hey Guys,
Just wanted to let you all know what was going on with me lately. I have been in a rut and finally things were coming together. I finally got my RL horse down to a friends and had him evualated and turns out he was never too much horse for me. Its a very long story, but my trainer was trying to rip me off and steal my horse. Well it didn't happen and lately I have been really getting to know Hook and we actually get along amazing. Unfortunately he had a horrible and horrific accident involving a trailer. A friend was hauling him for me out to a beautiful trail head about 45 minutes out, and we arrived she jumped out of the trailer before I could mutter a word, (I assumed she would untie him before opening the trailer door, well she didn't. He attempted to back out of the trailer and once he realized he was still tied he panicked. It ended with his hoof caught in his feed bag and in the frenzy he impailed himself on the hook that latches the trailer and trailer door together. It was horrible to watch him do it, and I am still incredibly shooken up from the whole thing. Thankfully he will make a full recovery and the vet said it's not as bad as it looks. I don't want to show pictures becuase it's absolutely horrific. Im sure you can only imagine. He did rip open his entire chest and has about 100 stitches, we wont know for a week how much skin we can actually save. hopefully most of it. He will make a full recovery and the vet said because of its location will heal in about 6 weeks and will completely good as new in 12 weeks.
So with everything going on with him right now, I't just having a hard time even being around my pixalated horses. I will try to judge shows and finish hexing things I owe people. And those showmanship photos, but I just need you guys to be very patient with me. I'm really tore up and its hard to think about, and right now this place is making me think about him too much.
I went to the animal shelters today to evaulate dogs for some potential clients, and that helped get my mind off it. In the middle of all that today, I ended up bringing home a 2 month old pit lab, and have already began clicker training her. She is already staying in the crate without crying for 2 hour increments and is learning sit and come. She's one smart cookie. Shes helping my stress. You would think she would add to it but shes strangely helping it. She is also very smart, eager to learn and thankfully food motivated.
I just really need the communities support and prayers for hook. I cant stop seeing it happen over and over again. My heart hurts......
