Hi guys! I'm sorry I've been away for so long but I'm hoping I can make up for it! With my home country of Aus featuring inthis World Tour, I thought I should make some mods for it! I'm planning on doing the Australian Brumby and Australian Stock horse and depending on how much time I have will look at doing more as well! I've started with the brumby as I'm thinking it is going to take me the longest. This is what I've come up with so far as a first draft kind of thing. I know he probably needs to look a bit scruffier, but I feel like something else is off for a wild type horse and I can't quite put my finger on it! Hopefully someone can help lol
And this stallion was being a douche to pose and I got fed up with him so sorry for the less than ideal pictures!
The only things I notice is that your default scales might be messed up, the ears and eyes look too large. The withers are pretty large and long too but those are always one of the worst to get right. And it may just be the way the horse is standing in the last pic, but it looks like he's really unlevel/like the back legs are too long? If you have it all that way for a reason then ignore me! I think you're going in the right direction.
OMGawrsh! O.o OhEmGee! D8 OMGoodness! =0 Your Mod is ever so muchlies so very amazingly, epically, fabulously, fantastically, wonderfully, magnificently, marvelously, gloriously loverly! <3 Superb work! ^w^ Great job! ^3^
Thanks for the comments guys! Jewellz, I think the ears and stuff looked a bit off because I started this off on the PW dummy, which looks a bit funky in game lol I haven't messed with the leg length, at least I pretty sure I haven't, so the file should still level out, but that horse did not want to stand for a pose lol I will double check in Lnz though to see if they are even still. I've gone ahead and altered the withers to make them a bit shorter as they were quite long and put it on the 1b file for the detail work. How is it looking now? I know there is a little gap in the face, but I'll fix that
Oh, well that explains that, haha. I'm so in love with the forelock omg. If it were me I'd want the neck to be a little more straight between the head and the chest, so maybe move the mid-neck ball (100 maybe?) further forward/towards the head just a tad, so it can still be curved but not quite so much?
I think that's fine, maybe just make the neck/throat a tad higher where it meets the head? Just a little more tuck there in the throat area.
It also looks like the eyes got bigger again? Looking slightly bug-eyed haha. I seriously adore your forelock, mine are always so boring...This is looking great! I think my stable might need to make room for a wild horse or two...
Okay, so I've done some more fiddling! I cleaned up the gullet a tad, so hopefully it looks a bit smoother now. I'm still not sure if I should move 96 or whatever it is down a tiny bit more or not :/ I messed with the topline and butt a bit more too, and I'm thinking it looks a bit better now. The under line is a little lumpy I think, but I don't know if there is a way to fix that without giving up the shape of the topline. I could maybe play with the lines and add another in to try smooth it out? I made the eyes smaller too, I don't know what is happening with them xD Are they too small now?
That looks fine to me. The head and neck look great!
You might want to consider lowering (in LNZ) the hips, croup shaper and butt shaper, all by the same amount. It's starting to be kinda downhill conformation...But I think if you lower all of those the same amount, then it won't screw up the smooth transitions they all have right now...Maybe try going 5 points more positive on the Y axis and if you don't like it you can just take the 5 away again really easily haha.
Yep that looks better! Something bothers me a little about the cheeks, are they even on both sides? I like how they look from one side (left) but the other side (right) seems a little more harsh (that's not helpful at all haha) if they are even, then probably just leave them alone since it could just be the angle of the pics. Other than that I don't have anything else for you besides you could maybe size down all the lip balls (126-129) by one or two sizes and see how you feel about that, or maybe just 127, the lower lip.
This is why I hardly ever call any of my mods finished, because I always find something that I think could use some adjustment lol. I swear this is the last of my suggestions on this one though.
Thanks guys! I've smoothed out the chin and stuff so I am calling the Brumby finished! Now onto the stock horse! I've got a basis down, but it still needs work. Some holes to fill in, a tiny neck ball in the stallion for some reason and general fiddling to done, but I'm looking for opinions on it so far
I love the look of the first horse, the back seems a bit longish, but I do not know that much about the Brumby horse breed, other than I know that it is a stock type horse. But it is very beautiful. The head is amazing, on your breed file. I hope I get a chance to hex paint off of it, it is a wonderful mod. and I am so happy that the mod. hexers are making breeds from around the world. I wish I was brave enough to do mods. Nice job with this breed. <3
