Thanks guys! You're great as always!
Windy - no, he's not. Have we AQH registry?
I hope, that you will greet Sansa as warm as my newest AQHs!
Some days ago I talked with Pollution about Rescue horses... In our stable stand some empty stalls. I don't want to fill them - I have enough horses, that wait for their time on show areas. One phone from Pollution stables and I changed my mind - and I took Sansa. Information, which I got from PS:
"Aragorn I received an email from a gal claiming that Sansa here was going to be euthanized because she has “issues with people, is a basket case, and no one would want her unless it is for the job of reproducing”. I agreed to take her and we all anticipated the arrival of this hysterically mean and uncooperative horse. Of course, this was not the case at all. Her halter had to be cut off her face because it hadn’t been removed in I don’t know how long. It was crusty and tight. She did not panic, she was not afraid, and she didn’t flinch. We were obviously lied to, and this woman was not responsible enough to care for her horse. If you would like her i will send her immediately!"
Sansa came to Dekada at morning - James would take her from trailer, but she really didn't want to see any halter on her head. She stood up on hind legs, tried to kick. It's understandable - she also has fresh scars on head, so halter wasn't good idea. He came back with short rope. This time mare was friendlier and after few seconds man weared her rope as a collar.
They walked around other stalls. She stretched her neck to greet other horses or people. For several hours we left her alone. Every pet needs some time to explore new home, meet new friends. Now she'll slowly get to know our grooms, stable staff. Tomorrow Sansa will meet our vet.
