Up to 3 entries per person, 14 horses total.
Please double-check your horse's distance and surface preferences to make sure you want to enter them. All British Classics and trials are run on turf tracks!
Horses of any grade level are welcome! Impost weight will increase the higher grade they are.
Horses competing in this race will be considered 3 years old in the year 2019 and will not be eligible to compete in any 3yo races in future years.
Competing in this race will enable your horse to enter into any upcoming 2019 British Classic races! A horse must compete in at least one trial/prep this year before entering a Classic race.
The next Classics are the Epsom Oaks (12F, fillies only) on May 31st and the Epsom Derby (12F) on June 1st.

This race is restricted to 3-year-olds only!

If your horse competed in any 3yo race (the Triple Crown/Tiara series, UAE Derby, British Classics) from 2011 - 2018, it is ineligible this year. You can check this post and this one to ensure your horse has not previously participated.

Some of the most talented horses we've seen in the British Classic series have shown up again today for the Chester Vase!

Rhapsody's Vain is narrowly the favorite after his win last out in the Lingfield Derby Trial. His stablemate, Thanos, is just slightly behind in odds. This will be his debut in Britain, yet the Hard Tack-bred colt has had impressive performances elsewhere. Hard Tack's General Disarray has been a persistent contender in Britain and is one of the most experienced horses in the field. It's possible he's being underestimated today. His stablemate, Noble Hierarch, is the only filly to have won two trials this year, as she had a tenacious victory in the Cheshire Oaks a little over a week ago. Rhapsody's Purity and Hard Tack's Messalina may just be a little overwhelmed by the rest of the contenders in this Classic series, as these less-experienced fillies have yet to establish themselves in Britain, though Purity did eke out a 3rd place finish in the Cheshire Oaks.
