Race Replay
The sun is blazing as the heat wave that has dominated the globe continues to burn this week as we begin our journey to the Breeders' Cup after a two year absence!
It's a field of jewels as two Triple Tiara winners and a Triple Crown winner will knock heads for the first time in forum history. However, it is Delirium that will lead the punters' hearts as the coal black winner of this year's Dubai Cup will look to add a feather in his bonnett after a stellar first half of the season. 2019 Preakness winner Damask may have been beaten in the Belmont, but the late running grey shows no signs of rust as he looks to notch a win just a sixteenth of a mile further than his Classic glory. 2018 Triple Crown winner Pagan will settle for second best in the betting but the speedy and flashy four-year-old is the one to beat after a Horse of the Year-winning campaign saw him burn through both Dubai and the spring classics. 2018 Triple Tiara winner Heretic Queen will look once more to try Pagan at his roundhouse distance and will try to run him off his feet; 2019 Triple Tiara winner will look to smash both older rivals to dust just as she's done to the three year old ranks on both the Derby and Oaks trails. Baldur is the only horse of the field that has no classic or Dubai win to speak of, but the speedy black and white five-year-old is the oldest of the field and has experience to spare with a turn of foot to match.
It's one of the best fields ever assembled for a Classic run off race, and with one Triple Crown winner, two Triple Tiara winners, a Preakness winner and a Dubai World Cup winner (plus poor Baldur) it promises to be a race for the ages as these titans clash on the main track at the classic distance.
The Road to the Breeders' Cup begins RIGHT NOW on Seeing Stars!
