Race Replay
It's a new week and a new round of BC preps here on Seeing Stars! We finsh off the day on the turf with a large field of towering stayers going 13 furlongs in the Round Table.
2016 winner Dracarys will lead the parade as a narrow favorite, and the fire-red son of BC Marathon winner Eclipse is out to make it as the first double winner of the Round Table. Turn & Burn's Moxie will be hot on his heels, as this dead closer of a filly will look for a double of her own after already qualifying for the BC Turf. Flashy Warpaint and Dracary's archrival is third on the morning line and has already put in several good performances on the BC trail, with an extra furlong well within his wheelhouse. Accendere figures to be hot on the pace today as the free-wheeling filly does her best running far and away from the rest of the field. Vixin will be right there with her but will need to up her game after a head-scratcher of a race in her last BC prep. Secret Silence makes her BC debut and this brindle beauty runs well clear of the front runners to do her best racing late in the race. Unrequited is double digits but doesn't lack the talent or pedigree, as her sire Sword Play won the Marathon in years past. Daella is the longest shot on the board and while she may be in a bit over her head, this mare has a dangerous will to win on her best days.
It's a beautiful day for a horse race with the heat wave finally breaking and the wind streaming off the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The track is firm as can be for these eight beautiful colts and fillies, and they'll have to use it to their full advantage to earn their spot in the Breeders' Cup. They're off in the 2019 Round Table Stakes!
