Race Replay
Last week saw Moxie out-duel her way to the wire with a late kick in the final sixteenth in the Flawlessly, regulating Regal once again to a bridesmaid for the second week in a row. It's a field of seven this time to contest a minor cutback in distance to 9 furlongs, as the sun shines on the verdant grass course for the Memories of Silver Stakes.
Turn & Burn's Vixin will lead the post parade and look to emulate her more-successful stablemate Moxie, as this fast-footed filly will try to snap a losing streak that has persisted this entire BC prep season. Hard Tack's Belmont Stakes-Epsom Oaks double winner Noble Hierarch will be counting on that speed for her own run, as a fast pace will only benefit the late-closing sophomore filly. Regal is the third choice here after two consecutive second place finishes in her last two preps, and she's out for blood as red as her coat to achieve her goal. Vice Versa is next in line and has shown flashes of her previous talent, although she has still be lacking the perfect setup for a win. Palenque will try her luck again after faltering to dead last in the Flawlessly, while Wren has the same ground to make up after finishing only one better. Rounding out the field is Sagittarius, newcomer to the BC scene and looking for her stablemate for that hot pace she, too, needs for a victory.
While the sun is shining, clouds hover on the horizon promising rain and the wind is kicking up off the sea as these seven shining fillies make their way to the turf course. It's a wide open field this time around with a number of talented and winsome fillies, as they promise to put on a show in this yaer's 2019 Memories of Silver Stakes!
