The much-anticipated SS Triple Crown Raffle is (FINALLY) here! Many of our members have put a ton of time and effort into hexing each of the horses that competed in this year's real life Triple Crown races, and now we're raffling them off. Each horse is being sold completely ready to participate in Thoroughbred racing here on Seeing Stars, with stats that accurately reflect their real-life counterparts. Each horse has the same total stats, though, so no horse is necessarily "better" than another.
As always, all of Manda's rules apply, along with any rules the individual hexer has for their horse (which will be sent to you along with the horse, both in the body of the email and in the horse's in-game profile).
To ensure that everybody gets a horse and a fair chance, everyone who is interested will respond with their email and three numbers between 1 and 22, these being the horses they are essentially entered in the drawing for. Below, you will find hints as to which number goes with each horse, which you can try to figure out if you'd like, or you can just pick three random numbers and see who you get. During the drawing, one number will be randomly selected from each player, this being the horse that they will recieve. If two people draw the same horse, the owner will be randomized and the other person will get a different one of their selections.
The drawing will take place on Thursday, June 9th, so please have your selections in by then
Here are the numbers that may be chosen:
1. I finished a surprising second in the Wood Memorial
2. My sire's sire spoiled Funny Cide's 2003 Triple Crown bid
3. My European-raced sire was 2nd to Tiznow in the 2000 Breeders' Cup Classic
4. My owner also owns 2014 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Bayern
5. I earned my spot in the Belmont Stakes after winning the Peter Pan
6. My first career defeat came in my 4th start, when I was well-beaten by Dortmund
7. My jockey celebrated his 21st birthday on the day I became his first Preakness mount
8. I won two Derby preps at Oaklawn Park, but was second best behind American Pharoah in the Arkansas Derby
9. I won my first race after the Kentucky Derby in a turf race, a surface on which I was already a stakes winner
10. I drew into the Derby field after the defection of Standford
11. My sire also sired 2013 Kentucky Derby winner Orb
12. My sire won the 2007 Preakness Stakes
13. I was sold to new connections just before the Preakness because my trainer wanted to run but my prior owners didn't
14. I was declared the winner of one of my Derby preps after a controversial disqualification
15. I was a force to be reckoned with in Dubai earlier this year, winning the UAE Derby impressively
16. I was third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile last year
17. I chased International Star in the Fair Grounds prep races, finishing 2nd and 3rd to him
18. After a baffling run in the Fountain of Youth, my trainer made a lot of changes, leading to a victory in my next start
19. I won the Florida Derby in only my 3rd career start
20. I'm the first horse for my owners to run in a Triple Crown race since their 2006 Kentucky Derby winner, Barbaro
21. The hall of fame jockey who has been on for my last four races was cast as jockey George Woolf in the Seabiscuit film
22. Thanks to me, my trainer has now saddled longshot 2nd-place finishers in Triple Crown races for three consecutive years
