This is the 3rd of 7 Kentucky Oaks preps on Seeing Stars! Any points your fillies earn in this race will be put toward a place in the starting gate of the Kentucky Oaks on May 6. Only 14 horses will be allowed to enter on Oaks Day, so enter as many preps as possible to build up point counts and stats! GI and under fillies/mares may enter! There's finally a day without snow or rain on the East Coast and a compact yet talented field will take to the track for this year's edition of the Las Virgenes Stakes. With only 7 fillies bidding for more Kentucky Oaks points this week, it's a short list of class as the current point leader Rozlyn will come back once again to try and take them gate to wire in a hat trick, as the third choice on the morning line. Two year champion filly Cyclone Princess is taking big money today as she looks to round out back into form, with top distaffer Wind coming back for more after several near misses. The field is rounded out by stakes winners War Chimes, Antebellum, Armin and Midnight as these four look to improve off previous efforts to try and get the job done on the first fast track in the series. With a field short on horses but overloaded with heart and class, it's only 7 to contest this week's Oaks prep as the clouds begin to move ominously in with the horses stepping into the starting gate.
The Road to the Kentucky Oaks continues now on SS!
