This is the 6th of 7 Kentucky Derby preps on Seeing Stars! Any points your horses earn in this race will be put toward a place in the starting gate of the Kentucky Derby on May 7. Only 14 horses will be allowed to enter on Derby Day, so enter as many preps as possible to build up point counts and stats! GI and under horses may enter! GI - GIII horses will incur high weight imposts to level the field.
Any horses that competed in the 2011 - 2015 Triple Crown trails are ineligible to enter this race. See this thread for a full list of ineligible horses.

The weather has not been forgiving to our Triple Crown hopefuls as a thunderstorm turns the track to a muddy soup as 11 colts take to the track for the 2016 Santa Anita Derby. Two weeks ago, Bells o War sprang a mild upset over his heavily favored foes and hre turns this week, but as a longer shot than when he came in last week due to several poor efforts in between. Skeptic once again stamps himself as the favorite after an emphatic win in Dubai just a week ago, and he is followed closely by American Pharaoh and Rancor, with Dortmund the third betting choice after a two win streak in his previous starts. Warlord and Chaos round out the field as the only single digit entrants with Nizmo, Remington and Native Dancer checking in as longshots after disappointing efforts in the previous week. It's a storm for the ages as April roars in with a series of deluges on the East Coast as these 11 horses step onto the dirt for this year's Santa Anita Derby. The slop tends to play to speed and this race is loaded with sharp breakers and even sharper speedballs, so it's anyone's race as the gates close on the second to last stop on the road to the roses!
The Road to the Kentucky Derby continues now on SS!
