It's the first Friday in May and that means the Kentucky Oaks is finally here! With a competitive fire rarely seen across the racing forum, 12 fillies will go to the post this year in order to emulate the history making run of Athena Watchover from 2015. It's the ultimate test for three year old fillies and in a field loaded with so much talent, it's going to be one helluva ride from gate to wire as we gear up for an explosion of girl power that will knock any colt's socks off!

It's the first Friday in May and it's a gorgeous day in Louisville as these 12 fillies take to the track for the 2016 Kentucky Oaks! Months of preps and races have led up to this moment for these three year olds, and it's all on the line as they march to the starting gate. Champion 2 year old filly Cyclone Princess of Hard Tack sports narrow favoritism over Honestly and Charisma, the star fillies from Rhapsody Stables. Armin from Burning Acres checks in a close fourth choice with Wind from PaleCat and Rozlyn from Turn and Burn as the only single digit odds, with the rest of the field doubles or higher as they come to the track. With a swift track and bright sunny skies, the racing gods have looked kindly upon these fillies after a spring fit only for Noah's Ark, and it'll be 12 fillies to duke it out over a mile and an eighth in front of a record crowd here at Churchill Downs!
