Race Replay
Last week saw Kentucky Oaks winner and 2 year old filly champion Cyclone Princess trounce her opposition to solidify herself as division leader, and this week her rivals are given a breather from watching her hindquaraters as 11 fillies and mares line up on the dirt track. Rhapsody comes back with Acorn and Triple Tiara spoiler Honestly and sharp distaffer Charisma, while Palecat returns with last week's second place finisher Wind to improve on that placing. BlueJay comes back swinging with SeaBlue Royalty, who had a rough trip last time out; Turn & Burn returns with Rozlyn, the hard knock filly who always seems to get a piece of it, and Shashka once again enters Antebellum, the daughter of a Breeders' Cup winner on a skein. Black Water Estate enters their speedy filly Dance o War, a half sister to Antebellum and sharp two year old; Burning Acres returns with Ziva, who may be coming up a bit short against the 9.5 furlong distance. Nightshade debuts for the Distaff with three longshots Fairy, Wench and Penny to complete the field, so it'll be 11 fillies and mares vying for the winners' circle in the 2016 Busher Handicap. They're out on the track now as the skies start to menace, and it's anyone's race as they load into the gate for another shot at the BC Distaff.
The Road to the Breeders' Cup continues NOW on SS!
