Race Replay
Last week we saw a shocker in the Secretariat as 9 - 1 shot Milano upset a Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Oaks and Belmont Stakes winner to earn a spot in the BC Classic and set a new stakes record to boot. This week 12 horses return to avenge that loss, led by Rhapsody's Derby one-two punch with winner Skeptic and runner up Chaos. Hard Tack comes back swinging with Oaks winner Cyclone Princess and Belmont spoiler Rancor, while BlueJay returns once more with the ultra consistent SeaBlue Royalty. Burning Acres has Dortmund on the attack for the lead, while Shashka sends out American Pharaoh after a near miss last week, with FiL back again with Desperado to help keep the pace honest. Turn & Burn has entered the ever-present Rozlyn to add even more intrigue to the pace, while Black Water Estate has Bells o War to try and end his streak of bad luck in his last few races. Sunfire comes in with Augustus, a half brother to two Derby winners, and a top two year old, while Nightshade comes in with Katrina, a longshot who takes a huge jump in class. These 12 horses will take to the track as the skies threaten to open up once again, but the shining star power of one of hte best fields in SS history cannot be dimmed as they load into the starting gate for this year's Tiznow Handicap.
The Road to the Breeders' Cup continues NOW on SS!
