Race Replay
Last week we saw BlueJay's Thunder Cat run roughshod over his rivals to pounce to victory in near stakes record time, and this week it is a much smaller field that will contest that final fees-paid spot for the Breeders' Cup Turf. Hard Tack returns with last week's second place finisher Urban Magic along with Eclipse and Breeders' Cup winner Southern Dancer, looking to return to form after several lackluster starts. Rhapsody returns once again with Derby runner up Chaos as he looks to transfer his form to dirt and pace-loving filly Serenity as she seeks her first Breeders' Cup triumph. FiL Farms has Desperado on the pace as well along with Turn & Burn's flashy colt Leon, as those two will help set a pace here that may set up for closers like Urban Magic and Sunfire's Moonshot, a recent aqcuisition that is already paying dividends as this turf mare looks to rebound on past Breeders' Cup performances. With only seven horses to contest this week's turf race, it's a race that may not appeal to bettors but it's full of class and intrigue as our field takes to the grass and loads up into the gate for the 2016 Orfevre Handicap!
