Race Replay
We close out the day with a marathon on the turf as the first prep for the BC Marathon begins! Only six distance specialists will take to the track but it's a doozie of a field, headlined by Eclipse winner Empire City, a speedball of a horse that ran decently in last year's Marathon; he is joined by stablemate Dracarys, gold medal winner from Rio and son of Marathon winner Eclipse, in his first BC appearance. Ansia comes back for more as well for Hard Tack after a shot last year, and she is joined in the filly ranks by Rhapsody's Accendere, a distance-loving filly that also loves the front end. Turn & Burn comes back once more with Vixin after coming up short earlier on the card and Black Water Estate will debut Hello, a filly that has jumped up and down in class but almost always is consistent. With only six horses to take to the turf today, it's still a sharp field that will head to the post as they all fight for the glory of taking a spot in this year's Round Table Memorial Stakes!
