Race Replay
We switch back to the main track for this week's first BC Dirt Mile entry and it's a field of 8 that'll take to the dirt for their chance for a BC berth. Rhapsody once again leads the way with a triple threat in dual classic winner Skeptic, sharp and primed from several efforts in Dubai; Charisma, already a BC Sprint entrant and top filly; and Overdraft, a top miler looking for another spot in this year's Breeders' Cup. Hard Tack comes in swinging with top older horse Swashbuckle, leading dirt male on the forum after a stellar summer campaign, and dirt sprinter Carrig, a step below his 2015 form but looking to rebound. Burning Acres heads in with top three year old Dortmund, also primed from Dubai and Black Water Estate comes in with Dubai World Cup runner up Bells o War, cutting back in distance but not in class. Turn & Burn will once again round out the field with sprinter/miler Onyx, a top son of Chime looking to turn the tables on his half brother Bells o War. With 8 madcap sprinters and milers taking to the dirt, it's a classy field knee deep in talent and accolades, as we load into the gate for this year's edition of the Forego Memorial Stakes!
