Race Replay
Last week we saw Breeders' Cup champion Royal Angel fly to a new stakes record in the Miesque to earn her second spot in the Breeders' Cup, and this week her rivals will storm to the wire for the second spot for the Breeders' Cup Mile. Hawkstone leads the parade with 2015 Triple Tiara and BC Mile and Distaff winner Athena Watchover as the overwhelming favorite looking to avenge her second place finisher; Danger Keep Away and Enigmatic Lament will join their stablemate but look to be a cut below her class. Hard Tack comes back with turf stalwarts Boudacious and Obsidian, both looking for their first wins on the Breeders' Cup trail, while Rhapsody has only entered Riot, a son of Al Quoz winner Voodoo and looking to rebuild his resume after a graded win weeks earlier. Turn & Burn rounds out the field with Onyx, a speedy sprinter that has won in graded company but has yet to hit hte board on the Breeders' Cup road. With only seven hroses to contest this week's race, it's still an exciting prospect as the return of a champion leads the way to the gate as we load up for this year's Da Hoss Handicap!
