Race Replay
Last week we saw Skeptic fly to the finish with his dangerously high cruising speed and it's nearly a full field that returns to a soggy track for this week's Dirt Mile set up. Rhapsody returns with a full house in the form of Honestly, winner of the Acorn and multiple graded winner, Charisma, multiple graded winner and a top distaffer on the forum and Overdraft, second to Skeptic last week and a firebrand on the lead. Sunfire comes in hard with Augustus, a top juvenile prospect and already a top favorite for next year's Kentucky Derby; while Burning Acres shows up once more with Dortmund, hoping for better luck and a cleaner trip than last time out. Hawkstone returns with The Final Apostle, gold medalist in Rio and a dangerous dirt horse if there ever was one, Duality, last year's Sprint winner and looking to take another trip to the BC and Ezio, once a familiar face on the Triple Crown trail and now looking for his first BC ride. Hard Tack comes in with stalwarts Swashbuckle, one of the top older dirt horses in training, and Carrig, looking to improve on several on the board efforts with a breakthrough win. BlueJay joins the filly brigade with SeaBlue Royalty, a top 3 year old filly and already qualified for the Distaff after a scintillating run, while Turn & Burn rounds the field with Onyx, longest shot on the board and a front runner that does his best when loose on the lead. With 12 horses to contest this off going, it's a cavalcade of some of the best colts and fillies on the forum going a flat mile on the dirt in this year's Corinthian Stakes!
