Race Replay
The races have been pushed up a day as Hurricane Matthew churns up the East Coast but for now it's clear sailing as we head to the turf for our first BC race of the day!
Last week we saw War Chimes roar back into form to nose out her speedy stablemate for the win, and this week six more horses will contend for that last coveted spot for an all expenses paid trip to the Turf Sprint!
Hard Tack storms in with Obsidian, cutting back in distance as she looks down a different path to the BC after a number of Mile forays, and with Sassy Lassie, a hard luck second last out and on the upswing. Rhapsody turns in with their stalwarts Riot and Gambit, the former a Grade II winner looking for a BC berth and the latter a listed winner still trying to finthe winner's circle after her initial maiden breaker. Hawkstone rounds out the field with Enigmatic Lament, multiple stakes winner and turf specialist seeking his first win of the year, and Deja Entendu, taking another big step in class as he strives to stop his downward skein.
With only six horses on a hoof-rattling course, it's a class of winners all and the last chance for these horses to win a free spot in the Cup as they load in the gate for this year's Chamberlain Bridge Handicap!
