Race Replay
Last week we saw Motive drive to an emphatic victory to open this year's Triple Crown trail and once more catapult Rhapsody to the top of the leader board. This week, Motive takes a break and it's Turn & Burn that leads the way with Keen Ice, a dead closer of a colt that has done little wrong in his career and looks to make some noise this spring. Hard Tack follows on his heels with Upstart, another colt that has never finished worse than 5th in his career and ran second last out, while Lost Hero, a son of 2015 Derby winner Prince of Thorns, looks to improve on his record in the spring classics. Rhapsody enters Delirium, less accomplished than stablemate Motive but who tore off several consecutive black type wins as a juvenile. Burning Acres comes in with Legionaire, a dirt loving colt that has shown his affinity for races under 10 furlongs, and Purple Heart, the lone filly of the field and taking another step up in class. With only six horses to contest this week's race, it's still an exciting prospect that promises drama galore as they line up in the gate for this year's San Felipe Stakes.
The Road to the Roses continues now on Seeing Stars!
