Race Replay
Last week, Gaelic Gold roared to the wire first with a dramatic come from behind victory, grinding out a victory against both Songbird and Player Hater in a thrilling battle to the wire. Six familiar fillies will once more contest this week's prep as the three year old filly scene is further distorted as yet another leading lady scores on the Road to the Lillies.
Hard Tack returns once more with past winner Gaelic Gold as the narrow favorite, looking to become the first filly on the trail to notch two wins; Player Hater will join her stablemate and hope to improve her form after tailing off in her last several starts. Rhapsody comes in swinging with Chantilly, a Dubai sprint winner and a winner on the trail already; Songbird, a narrow second last time out and another handy winner in the season; and Tipsy, who is still looking for that elusive spring win after coming close several times. Burning Acres' Purple Heart rounds out the field as she once more looks to try and salvage a spring season that has seen her finish off the board in the preps for the spring classics. With the usual six contesting the mile and a sixteenth on the main track, it's a race to see who will take Oaks favoritism as we load up into the gate for this year's Fairground Oaks!
The Road to the Oaks continues NOW on Seeing Stars!
