Meydan Racecourse in Dubai is one of the prettiest racetracks you'll ever see and has set the stage for some of the best showdowns racing has ever seen. Horses from all over the world converge on Dubai in the spring months of the year, and it is no different as SS continues its inaugural season, culminating in the Dubai Carnival Series headlined by the Dubai World Cup!
The UAE Derby is limited to horses that have raced in at least one prep for the 2017 Triple Crown or Triple Tiara!

Race Replay
We're back to the main track and this time it's our signature race for three year old as a big field takes to the dirt for the UAE Derby!
Sunfire's Augustus stands head and withers above the rest, as the 2016 champion 2 year old male and winner of a record three Derby preps this year. Rhapsody's Delirium is closest in the betting race after a sharp score last out, along with stablemates Motive, another top contender on the Derby trail, and Apparition, a narrow second last out on the turf as he looks to carry that form on the dirt. Turn & Burn ships over Keen Ice, another prep winner and dead closer that has shown much ability in his last few starts. Hard Tack loads up with three this year, with Upstart, looking to turn his sprinting ability into a route of ground; Lost Hero, a horse that hasn't been off the board in his last four starts, and Gaelic Gold, winner last out and related tail-female to Augustus. Burning Acres rounds out the field with Legionaire, dirt allowance winner, and Purple Heart, with both horses taking giant leaps in class to their peers. It's the biggest field so far tonight and it's one of the most exciting as Derby and Oaks contenders alike load into the gate for the 2017 edition of the UAE Derby!
