The Epsom Derby is Britain's richest horse race. It is sometimes referred to as the "Blue Riband" of the turf. It is run at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey over a distance of one mile, four furlongs in early June each year. The race serves as the middle leg of the British Triple Crown, preceded by the 2000 Guineas and followed by the St Leger, although the feat of winning all three is now rarely attempted. The name "Derby" has become synonymous with great races all over the world, and as such has been borrowed many times, notably by the Kentucky Derby. However, the Epsom Derby is the original. It is one of Britain's great national sporting events and has a large worldwide TV audience.

If you're looking for a prestigious win outside of the Breeder's Cup for your turf horse, here's your chance! This race is open to any level fillies or colts but weights will not vary based on grade level, only gender.

Rules

Up to 3 entries per person, closes anywhere from 6-14 entries.
Please read the guidelines before entering.
Make sure to post the entire form.
Please double check your horse's distance and grade level to make sure you really do want to enter them.

All colts will carry 126 lbs

All fillies will carry 123 lbs

3rd: +4 pts to 1 stat
4th: +3 pts to 1 stat
5th: +2 pts to 1 stat

Four weeks ago, Lost Hero galloped to victory in the 2000 Guineas, winning by almost two lengths. Today, he's back for more but this race will test his stamina rather than speed, and we will see just how far this black colt can go! Can he win one of Britain's most prestigious horse races and the second leg of the British Triple Crown?!

OMG I had no idea who I was rooting for in the stretch but I was like "GO GO GO one of you GOOOOOO!" lol

Congrats to LOST HERO and Hard Tack Stables for taking the fourth win of the five Classics this season! A Triple Crown is on the line and one more race remains, the St Leger* is set for September. Will Lost Hero find his way there and attempt the Triple? We'll have to wait and see.

*I think I remember that there isn't a 14F course in the game, so the St Leger will most likely be run at 13F.
