This is the 4th of 7 Kentucky Derby preps on Seeing Stars! Any points your horses earn in this race will be put toward a place in the starting gate of the Kentucky Derby on May 6. Only 14 horses will be allowed to enter on Derby Day, so enter as many preps as possible to build up point counts and stats! GI and under horses may enter! GI - GIII horses will incur high weight imposts to level the field.
Any horses that competed in the 2011 - 2017 Triple Crown trails are ineligible to enter this race. See this thread for a full list of ineligible horses.

PLEASE NOTE. When entering, COUNT THE HORSES IN FRONT OF YOU. Only 14 horses max are allowed per race - please make sure when you enter, you are not over the limit. I do not want to have DQ anyone for any reason.

Race Replay
Two weeks ago, it was a shake up in the Derby rankings as the third filly in a row stormed to a Derby points win, as Lady of Athens roared to the wire after leading start to finish to run her foes off their feet.
Despite her emphatic win, it's BlueJay's two year old champ Passero that is granted favoritism here, as the bay colt enters off a stakes win in his last outing. Hard Tack isn't far behind with Heretic Queen, winner of the Rebel and origin of the filly win streak, along with Fulgurite, another speedy colt that is now on the upswing after a solid previous effort. Rhapsody returns with Pagan, dangerous on the lead and knocking on the door after several near misses, along with Shared Belief and Scandal, two colts that run well preivously but are still fighting for that three year old form. Hawkstone drops in with Lady of Athens, looking to make it two in a row, Other Worlds, a maiden winner and stakes placed colt trying to make some sophmore noise, and Redeemed, who plods along like a trooper but hasn't yet gotten a piece of the pie. Toxic Bloom Stables makes it an even 10 with Lady of Thorns, second longest shot on the board and a dead closer that may relish the fast pace our six front runners are sure to enable.
It's a bright but cold day on the East Coast as winter finally seems to loosen its grip on the world, and these ten tenacious colts and fillies are looking to take advantage of a fast track as they all step into the gate for this year's Florida Derby!
