Race Replay
It's our last turf race of the card and the longest one yet, as our 9 turf routers take to the grass for the final time in the mile and a half Dubai Sheema Classic!
Rhapsody's splashy colt Warpaint will show the way as the heavy favorite, and he has sown a marked preference for the Dubai grass in his past competitions overseas. Stablemate Accendere has the advantage of blood with sire Empire City a winner in 2018 of this race and she has inherited his devestating speed to clear this field with ease. Hard Tack's Unrequited is a dead closer that nearly won last out over her stablemate Daella, and will seek to use her explosive turn of foot to burn her way to the winner's circle. Kindle is a full sister to last year's winner and has the family temperament, ready to set fire to the track with her speedy breaks and skipping action. Daella gets the inside today and that's where she loves to be, having some of her best races skimming the rail to victory. Veremente Neve also has a sire that's won this race in 2016, and with so many pacesetters in the field, she may have her own advantage here with too many horses vying for the front. Dekada's Cahokia Sky returns to the turf and a surface he seems to prefer, having run well on the grass in the past. Under The Mask will look to translate her Oaks form to the turf, and while she has run well on grass in the past, she'll need that crucial clean break to clear the field, as is her preference. Rash is the longest shot on the board and while he has shown great ability in the unlisted stakes, he may be in for it today in open company.
The sun is shining and spring is finally in the air as our field takes to the turf for this year's Sheema Classic!
