Race Replay
2020 has been a topsy turvy year for the world of horse racing, but the Breeders' Cup is a force that stops for no man or virus - we're on our way back to Keeneland for this year's championship racing festival!
Multiple graded stakes winner and Olympic medalist Warpaint leads the field after an illustrious career on the grass and he'll look for another trip to the Breeders' Cup to pad out his resume. Stablemate Candore is just as impressive and has a career nearly as sparkling, with only a Breeders' Cup win missing from his part of the family tree. Hard Tack's Dyllinger has danced all the dances against the best of the best and he'll look to break out on his own after running in the shadow of the greats for much of his career. London Bridge is looking to regroup after a truncated spring season, and with an outside post he may have the advantage in this big field. 2000 Guineas winner Mokuso will run against older horses for the first time in his career after failing to qualify for the Olympics, and he's the lone speed in a big field of closers and stalkers that could spell doom for the rest of his rivals. Bandit moves from the Epsom trail to the Breeders' Cup road to pit himself against the best in the country, with Illusion following suit as these two tough and talented colts run up against older for the first time. Riot is double digits after an unsuccessful Triple Crown foray, but he has a history of outrunning his odds and is better on turf than dirt. Checkers is a dead closer with one big win on the British Triple Crown trail, but he has yet to replicate that victory. Gracie is the longest shot of all and while she too has a win on the British turf, she has yet to score on American grass.
It's a star studded field of colts and one filly on the grass, with Olympic and spring classic winners in abundance as switch to the turf course. With so many incredible turf specialists in one place, all the talent in the world will be needed to aid one of our ten spectacular stars to the winner's circle.
The Road to the Breeders' Cup begins RIGHT NOW on Seeing Stars!
