Welcome to the Breeder's Cup Distaff! At 9 furlongs it is the same distance as the coveted Kentucky Oaks, and dirt distaffers from around the country have stamped their legacy in this race and have gone on to greatness. This year some of the best sophomores we have ever seen are gracing Keeneland with their presence, in addition to some of the top older mares running. Will one of our reigning sophomore queens take the crown or can one of our ageing dowagers snatch it from their hooves in the final furlong?

For those of you who want to enter horses that are not already qualified, it will cost you 10 BC POINTS which will be deducted from your horse's total BC points found here. Once your horse has entered, I will subtract from your total and you'll be good to go! If you see I've made a mistake in calculating your points of your horses, please PM me![/div]

CONGRATULATIONS TO COCO AND LAVENDER HILL FOR WINNING THE BREEDERS' CUP DISTAFF!

Coco knows the way she wants to win and she rarely fails to deliver. After breaking sharply from the gate, she motored right to the lead and opened up her characteristic 5 - 6 lengths as Groupie Doll and the rest chased her vainly around the track. Lark made her move on the far turn along with Groupie Doll and Mesmerize but Coco found another gear to crack off to the wire without a backward look. Mesmerize managed to get around her stablemate to take dead aim at Coco, but the Kentucky Oaks winner didn't even blink and won by over 3 lengths, the largest winning margin this year in the BC!

Illicit is the third winner of the Kentucky Oaks to win the Distaff, and she is Lavender Hill's second BC winner out of three entries.
