We are back with another field of maidens at Hawkstone Race Track! We've got a field of seven going seven furlongs on the fast dirt track. The post positions are as follows:
1. Disasterpiece (4.4)
2. Aquarius (4.5)
3. Green (4)
4. Struck By Charm (4)
5. Goddess's Grudge (4.4)
6. Third Temple (4.2)
7. Ogopogo (4.1)
This race looks to be loaded with speed, with three horses who all do their best running on the front end. We've got a pair of narrow co-favorites in Struck by Charm and Green, and the latter should benefit if things get too hot up front, but all seven of these horses are between 4-1 and 5-1. Ogopogo on the outside is the narrow third choice, and like his favored stablemate has some experience to bring to the table against a field that's full of first timers, including a daughter of Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Enigma and Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Vermillion - Disasterpiece looks like he has some talent, but might struggle against the more experienced speed in this field, as this Mockingbird entry would appear on paper to have more gate speed.
