I feel like I need to move my training project over here now, sooo that's what I'm doing! just a brief summary though because I really do talk too much.
Stalked pony's sale ad for a few days to make sure he wasn't already gone.
Saw Pip-then-Cicero and was floored by how great he seemed, so scheduled Pre-Purchase Examination which he fantastically passed while seducing the vet assistants with how pretty AND insanely well-behaved he is. They had a hard time believing he's really a stallion.
Brought him home.
First time saddled and more ground driving.
It's probably not the best way to go about training, but I like my horses to have weekends off from serious work as much as I like to have weekends off, so today was just some playing around.
Although we did learn a little about crossties while I prettied him up.
Just for kicks I set up a little straight oxer to see what he'd do. I personally thought he'd be more inclined to walk around it, but there may yet be a jumper in my dressage horse.
Thanks guys! <3 I always feel like I bond more with my horses when I do stories like this, because it's just so fun and I'm glad you're all enjoying it!.
No update today. I didn't feel too good last night and then most of today I've felt like fire and death and I can't keep focus long enough to do anything. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow and I can continue on.
