so i have herd bad things about this from others but right now i dont care.
today was a good/bad day when out doing payday stuff my husband wanted to check out a pet shop we have been there once before, kind of run down not fully build.... but has alot of fish stuff and we want a tank some day, but any way we have been here before and i always said i wish they had puppies! (being still in child's mind of those cute puppy shops were the pups are happy and playing in their enclosed areas like in the movies/cartoons)
today when looking at guppies i herd barking coming from the back... i was wondering why there is barking in the shop... walk down a hall and there was this biiig glass window, on the other side was puppies... evry slot had a puppy in it... wire floors... small cages.. poop just laying about the pups cages... puppies soaked in pee... stained with poop stains.... 9 cages.. each one holding a puppy... one even holding two. at first glace i was just in aww of the little cuties, faces pressed against the bars with big eyes watching me as i walked up and down the glass that looked into this room of cuties. but after a minute getting over how cute they were i started to tear up... trying to hide them from my husband but he soon asked me whats wrong... i had to tell him this is not right.. look at them... it was so sad the way they were living ... after some time after i had to walk out to smoke... and i just zoned out.
my husband and i are paying for a new pupp... so this was pretty random him bringing it up. he said i know this is sad for you but i cant save them all but we can get a puppy here if you really want... after about 10 mins of thinking and making sure we can get by till next payday i said yes we should save one..but i need to ask the worker some questions (previous owner...shots.. vet checks) went in and talked to a girl... at least she was honest. she said they buy the pups from people who bring them in... and i asked why some where on sale, her answer.. because they are getting to big for the cage. i asked how long number 10 was here since she was on sale... she said since the 18th..
we asked her to bring the pup out... the poor thing reeked a horrible smell could not stand up straight (you will find out why soon) and peed all over the place. i felt so bad i said we are getting her.
So at the register we were paying she was in a box to the side and was soo happy the lady said she is happy because she has never left her cage since arriving the 18th... so ya... i got mad.. but we got her.
my plan was to get her and kind of foster her until she finds a better home so now she has my back yard... house bed kennel and lots of water/food and loves. some will think its mean getting a dog just to give it away, i am not just doing that i believe i am making this little babies life a bit better and finding a great home. upon applying for her i ask for a vet reference and asking questions about the housing area they live on. i think i am doing a good thing, its very stressful but idk... eh had to vent to someone but here is the living condition that they were in.. more pictures of her when she gets a good night sleep and is not so over excited to be able to roll in grass for the first time in 1 week and 4 days...
will pose picture soon sorry image wont re-size right
