Word Tour: US - Dog Agility Competition
Agility is tried and true American sport, and one of the most exciting to watch! Agility consists of dogs and their handlers running through an obstacle course consisting of jumps, tunnels, A-frames and weave poles, with the winner determined by the fastest time! Here on SS, we want to involve our canine barn buddies to have a chance to compete alongside of our horses, so here's their shot!
Rules
You may enter UNLIMITED DOGS!
Each dog requires 5 pictures
No editing is allowed - your dog must show he's fancy on his own!
Collars are allowed if you have any collar clothes - nothing else is allowed
Required Poses and How to Achieve Them:
The Run - Lead your pup across the screen with a toy or with a whistle. The dog should be looking either straight ahead or at you, the handler.
The Jump: We accept either a jump through a hoop (encouraged!) or the dog jumping off a piece of furniture.
The Tunnel: Bring the dog out from the carrying case and IMMEDIATELY snap a picture as he trots through the door. He'll be hunched down like he's running through a tunnel!
The Weave: You may use either cat scratching posts or a series of toys to simulate the poles. The dog should be running through the obstacles looking at you or ahead of him. There should be at least three toys/poles in the picture to simulate your dog running through them.
The Sit: Use either a treat to teach your dog sit or wait until he sits himself. He should be looking at you, the handler.
Judging
I will be judging this as a combination of pose correctness and die. The higher your die score, the faster your dog runs! Poses will contribute bonus points to be added at the end of each entry, so if you want some nifty extra points to push your puppy over the edge, make sure you got some top rate poses to enter.
Grand Prize Pool
First Prize: 5,000 SS
Second Prize: 2,500 SS
Third Prize: 1,500 SS
All participants will receive 200 SS no matter if you place or not!
