First up is the very special chestnut sabino Thoroughbred colt, Skeptic! Sired by Hawkstone Stable's Sent By Ares out of Vermillion, we're hoping this guy can live up to his impressive lineage. He's Grade III and never even touched a track yet!
I hexed him because I knew the crazy good lines I was getting from Anomaly, and I haven't ever done a breeding before so it was super exciting to do the genetics and then figure out how they would go together and bring this guy into life. It took a while but now here he is! We've gotten to know him over the past few days, and we're ecstatic to have him here! <3
He's a little feisty but he should settle down a little as he gets older. He hates being all alone and has picked Chaos as his best pal, but if Chaos isn't around he will settle for another horse, or a mere human, dog, or cat. Chaos seems to like him right back, at first we weren't sure about letting them together since they play so rough but they both seem to really like the roughhousing.
They also love competing for my attention, which usually starts another bout of roughhousing.
And he's ready for the track! We're going to have to pick his first race entries carefully so that the experienced Grade III racers don't show him up too bad.
Next is the gorgeous chestnut tovero Friesian Sport Horse, Rowan, from Polluted Stables. This guy has moves to go with his looks, and he will probably be excellent in dressage. We haven't tried him at jumping but with his willingness to please he might be a good jumper prospect.
I adore his thick, curvy neck. <3
And last but not least (who would ever put any horse least!?) is Vintage, a pretty rose grey Thoroughbred colt from Rose Gate Stables. All he wants to do is run, and if he can't run then it's bounding around and tossing his head. He's in training to start racing so we'll see if that tendency to run does well on the track, because it certainly doesn't do well for halter or dressage...Maybe once he's run in some races he will settle a bit and let us train him for some slower disciplines.
