Welcome to BlueJay Racing!
BlueJay is the racing sub-stable to Mockingbird Estates. We train, race, and breed thoroughbreds often imported from all over the world. Our thoroughbred stables and racetrack are located on the far left of the property.
Tack:
Despite our name, BlueJay horses still show in the same colours as Mockingbird horses.
We have various tack that is to be used for different horses with different needs. For reference, here is the list of acceptable colours for various tack pieces:
- Shadow Rolls can be red, gold, or black
- When in training, pads are to be red with gold trim. Pads during races determined by post
- When wearing a hood, horses must be shown in black, brown, or white racing bridles
- When not wearing a hood, horses may also be shown in red bridles
- Racing Hoods are to be red with gold trim, with red blinkers if needed
- Certain horses require ear hoods, the ears will solid black or red
- Bandages are either solid red, black, or red with gold stripes
BREEDING
When horses hit GIII status on the thoroughbred circuit, they are automatically open for breedings to the public. If you are interested in breeding to one of our horses, please contact our owner with info about your mare/stallion and the horse you'd like to breed to. I can hex the foal of the two, and if wanted may take a foal from the breeding myself. My prefix for thoroughbred horses is BlueJay as shown, not Mockingbird. Horses do not need to have their prefix when racing, but do require it when showing in any other discipline.
