Eclipse Award Winners
This is a current record of all horses that have won Eclipse Awards from 2014 - 2019.
The Eclipse Awards were created in 1971 after years of competing publications awarding their own personal year-end awards to the best of the best of Thoroughbred crop - often with conflicting results. This changed with the national recognition of the NTRA, DRF and the National Turf Writers Assc. creation of the Eclipse Awards, our year-end award system that grants championship status to Thoroughbreds that went above and beyond their peers on the racing scene.
Retroactive Eclipse Awards will be generated as well from 2012 - 2013, so please stay tuned for those!
