To kick off our summer season here at Seeing Stars, I’ve decided to put together the Scavenger Hunt 2.0, aka the first (I think?) scavenger hunt on the (not so) new forum!
If you weren’t a member of the old forum, or maybe if you just don’t remember, here is how the scavenger hunt works:
There are a series of clues/hints/whatnots below, and every one you answer correctly, you get a point for! The member with the most amount of points at the end of the hunt will get the prize, and there will also be prizes for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
PLEASE REMEMBER that you must PM me your answers! If you post them, you’re basically just giving your points away to everyone else if you’re correct! If you’re still not sure how this works, go ahead and take a look at our previous scavenger hunts

Prizes
1st Place: A Custom horse from BlueJay (or Mockingbird if you’re not into thoroughbreds/racing!) and $50,000
2nd Place: A random horse from BlueJay (or Mockingbird if you’re not into thoroughbreds) and $20,000
3rd Place: A random horse (see above) and $10,000
4th Place: $10,000
There’s only so many horses I can hex, SO if there happens to be a lot of ties these may be subject to slight change (as in, I can’t do a million paint horses)
Clues
Category 1: Name that Horse!
1. I’m the highest pointed halter horse and I’m also a pretty red dressage horse! Who am I?
2. I come from the barn made of puro sangue lusitano, but I’m not one of those. My unique silver chestnut colour and sparkly coat might give me away!
3. My name means “the sunset” in polish (or that’s what google translate tells me!) and I’m almost the best jouster!
4. I come from a very varied (lol) stable but we sure do love our spots here! If you “blink” you might miss us though.
5. By going through all of the barns, I’m starting to notice trends in breed specializations. This red roan westfalen though is just HOT.
6. I might be double the madness, or perhaps I just think Arabians are great creatures. Especially ones with pink and grey spotty noses.
7. I’m the highest titled/pointed horse of my entire barn, which actually has the most horses of any barn on SS!
8. Maybe I’ve been through a few battles, maybe I am fully trained for war. I’m also a cutie though, and maybe I like to snack on mangos sometimes.
9. My name is pretty exotic I’d say, perhaps even a bit spicy. My name in real life is actually a pretty purple flower, but my red coat comes from its product!
10. I don’t know, I don’t think fire is a very good place for rum. Though I do prefer Whiskey anyways.
Category 2: Name that Racehorse!
1. I’m definitely mad, I sired the definitely furious racehorse, and 10/12 of my placings are in the top 5!
2. My name is also the name of one of the biggest racing barns, but I don’t belong to them!
3. Oh heck, of course I belong to the biggest racing stable here. Rainy days may get me down, but how could I be sad when I’ve won the Breeders’ Cup Classic and the Kentucky Derby?
4. My name means Poppy in another language. Which language? You’ll have to find out, maybe get a hint from the country I live in!
5. I was part of the zodiac sale, and I also look like sunshine. That also may be a hint for what barn I belong to!
6. I come from a barn that loves gypsy vanners (nope, not that one!
) and yet we do hex a lot of thoroughbreds too! You might want to call me if you have any “spiritual” issues.
7. Maybe you can’t see the truth. The truth is, I’m honestly pretty pure. (and a darn good racer)
8. We might have a dark winter this season.
9. My lessons have definitely been learned, black horses always look amazing on the track (and they race well too apparently!)
10. I’m definitely from a barn focused on western horses, but why not have a dash of class as well?
