How and Why I Play the Way I Do
I have decided to begin playing with my petz horses in a new way since the recent move. It's something I've been thinking about for a long time, but I wasn't quite sure how to implement it because I'll be the only person playing in this way. I've decided that it doesn't matter if I'm the only one. :9
Matador and all of its sub-stables (excluding Twilight Thistle) has a strict limit of 50 horses. That's all of the space we have! I have set this limit to make sure that I have time for all of my horses, and to make sure that I don't find myself overwhelmed with horses to show. We are currently home to 42.
Horses owned by me age, will eventually grow too old to compete and breed, and will also "die." I've chosen to allow my horses to age a year per month, which hopefully gives me enough time to title them in multiple disciplines and breed them. Some of my horses will continue showing and breeding late in their lives, but will "pass on" when they are 30. Please note that this doesn't mean I'll be deleting them or anything crazy like that! They'll simply be moved to a Horsey Heaven PetzA profile and will be unavailable for breeding, unless I specify that frozen is available for stallions. A horse's SS "death" is a time to think fondly of their time on SS, to think back on their career, and to admire the foals they've given us.
Mares can be bred once a month. Most of my horses have a set limit of 3 foals, and are available after hitting 30 points or equivalent in at least one discipline.
