Welcome to the first of four Win and You're In! races for an automatic berth into the Breeder's Cup Turf! The horse that wins this race gets an automatic berth into the Breeder's Cup Turf on SS and waives any entry fee. The rest of the horses will accumulate entry points for that race or any other BC race of their choosing.

Rules
+ Any level of horse may enter! Weights will be applied to level the playing field for any graded horses.
+ Please post the entire form when entering
+ Up to three horses per person, will race AT A MAX OF 14 HORSES

PLEASE NOTE. When entering, COUNT THE HORSES IN FRONT OF YOU. Only 14 horses max are allowed per race - please make sure when you enter, you are not over the limit. I do not want to have DQ anyone for any reason.

1st - 5 points to add to one stat of your choice
2nd - 4 points to add to one stat of your choice
3rd - 3 points to add to one stat of your choice
4th - 2 points for add to one stat of your choice
5th - 1 point to add to one stat of your choice

Race Replay

It's a gloomy day here in Chicagoland as we open our Road to the Breeders' Cup, as thunderstorms threaten heavily as they move down from the north. It's a hot, humid day and our horses are up against it on a firm, hoof-rattling turf course as only 8 stallions and mares make their way onto the grass for the 2016 running of the Shergar. Breeders' Cup winning mare Southern Dancer returns after missing last year's BC to try males this year along with former BC Turf runner Fleet Street to headline the contigent from Hard Tack. Rhapsody comes in with Kentucky Derby runner up Chaos and dead closer Vintage, along with speedball Serenity to help set an honest pace; Speed Demon from Reed Ranch will be there to contest her the entire way, while BlueJay makes their triumphant Breeders' Cup return with crack marathoner Sickle to press the pace issue and middle distance stayer Mezzanotte to help round out the field as these 8 horses come to the gate. They're graded winners all to form a classy field to the post, and it's anyone's race as they load into the gate for the 2016 Shergar!
