It could maybe be a transparency issue? I know if you set the transparency at say, 97, the game will automatically set it to 90 when you adopt the pet even though your breedfile still says 97. However it looks like you're probably setting that texture at 0 so that shouldn't be your problem...
Would you mind sending it to me (the breedfile) to see if I can tell what's up? I could also reverse some of those lines if you don't know how, so the hexpaint job will look more natural and less ~liney (those straight-ish white sections between balls) if you'd like.

That would be amazing Jewellz! the transparency setting is something i looked into back when it first happened but even after i triple checked it the issue still appeared, i also made sure that the file's texture locations were correct and double checked that i'd sent them all. i'm really at a loss at this point so some help would be much appreciated, I sent the file to you so hopefully we can figure this out, it's really been bugging me.
The breedfile you sent me must be the redo without the texture because it's a black and brown horse haha. No worries! Did some digging in the .pet file...
I glanced through and noticed some of your addballs were referencing a texture 7, but you don't have a texture 7, so that would be your issue. I'm guessing maybe you just deleted a texture out of the list or the game decided to do it for you. It would make sense because actually your two pics up there are showing different textures on the body in each one, so I think somewhere in-between you lost a texture from the list. (Didn't even notice the textures changed in them lol.)
I went through and replaced all the 6 textured addballs with 5, and all the 7 textured addballs with 6 and...
He's back like your AC pic again! But also just a suggestion, the color underneath your 0 transparency textures will sometimes show through in the lines/outlines, like you can still see some white on his front leg/shoulder? If you use 39 they'll be black, or you can use a more matchy color to the texture, either way.

i think i may have changed the outline color of the lines by accident when i was playing with the colors on this mod. I really don't know how that happened with the textures is it possible that pets workshop might have messed something up when i saved it? because i don't remember it ever having seven textures, though it could be that it did and i just forgot. I will go see if i can change the background colors if you can send the fixed pet file back to me, thanks for figuring out the texture problem though i really appreciate it.
Oh, I deleted it...whoops! You could probably just add a texture into the list and that would fix it? Like copy & paste another plush line in (so there would be three in a row) so that will push the two external textures down, into slots 6 & 7, if that makes sense?
Or, if that doesn't work, you go into the addballs section and just fix them in there. In a .pet file the addballs look like this: 48 0 -40 -136 35 -1 0 0 0 -1 192 1 0 3 -1
The blue (fifth) number is the color of the addball, and the green (second-to-last) number is the texture. SOME of your addballs that are colored '14' are the ones you want to change, so you can look for 14s in the color part, and then if it has a 6 or 7 as the texture, you're gonna want to change the texture to 5 or 6, and then change the color from 14 to something else probably, I'd recommend 39. That SHOULD get rid of all of the white except on the back legs. If it's colored 14 but the texture isn't a 6 or 7, then leave it alone because it's the back socks.

fixed the textures, those white lines won't go away though even after changing the color of the base, it seems their stuck for some reason, i'm gonna check the foal version of the file and be right back
nope. nothing there either, i think this file likes to be irritating, maybe i'm just tired of staring at numbers.
