Hey guys I AM NOT DONE with the new site but it's getting closer. I plan to add all of the tack and Showmanship props and other image stuff (that I know of and can find) to the downloads section soon.

Here's where I could use YOUR help (yes, YOURS). Please go to the site and look at everything and download whatever you want! You'll find a few breedfiles that haven't been downloadable for months as well as some that never made it up on the file library! Once you've gotten a good feel for the site, PLEASE come back and let me know if something didn't work right (broken link, mislinked, error etc.) or if something seems like it could be better. Hell, even let me know if you find a typo! (Spellcheck doesn't work on html files? haha)

I am ESPECIALLY interested to hear from newer members if you think something on the site is confusing/not clear enough OR if you want to know/learn something and it's not covered anywhere yet (or you can't find it). There is a lot to go through on there already but I am aware some stuff is lacking/missing. Let me know what you're interested in and I can put a priority on it!

The goal is to make it super easy to get started as a new member here on SS, and maybe eventually, even easy enough that people who've never heard of Petz before could pick it up.

I remember when I was new I couldn't figure out how to make tack work and add it to poses, and it took an embarrassingly long time for me to ask, so I want the site to have all the main bases covered - even if it IS as simple as how to post an image on the forum or make a pose have a transparent background.

Also, I've only looked at this in Chrome and Edge so if something looks weird, let me know! And also let me know if you have any ideas to organize it better/make navigating easier because I had no idea how much stuff there was when I first put this together.

I appreciate any and ALL feedback.

This is exactly what I feel I needed a week ago. I love it. I'm a qualified teacher so I'll keep reading it for grammar and spelling but I haven't picked up anything yet.

As a note, I can put up an ad to hex people's beginner horses, I have a lot of free time at the moment (actually off work until September because of surgery) and can very easily whip up some basic colour V2's for people.

That's awesome and perfect for new members. TBH, all the files and so forth are kind of hard to find and a bit overwhelming at first (atleast for me!) Putting everything in one spot is a great idea and should definitely help!

Maybe more example of DQs or faults may be helpful?

That's a good idea foreverunicorn ! I'll work on gathering image examples. I usually just delete them because they're not really useable haha, if anyone has any to donate that would be good!

Should I make like a "Disqualifications and Faults" posing guide that addresses all the things from all the disciplines like eyes, levelness, and common mistakes like using the wrong pose, or just add sort-of a 'what not to do' section to each discipline? Like, stick it near the end, below the Guide or Tips section, on the page.

I've added a "Common Disqualifications & Faults" guide under the posing section. I also went through and elaborated a bit on the DQs and faults that related to only one discipline, so a couple of them also had sections added in their guides.

I created these handy 'reference eyes' which I think may be pretty useful. I think eyes, especially worried and surprised eyes, are confusing for a lot of people or they just don't quite know what to look for, because I see a lot of them in shows.

Surprised:

Worried:

Those all seem to me to be the most common forms of those expressions, but there are others! These are just guides on what these expressions commonly look like.

Can you guys think of anything else? Is any of the new stuff confusing?
